...Power Adhesive.

Today, I started to apply the glue to the wheel rims.

I'm using Evo-Stik Serious Stuff Ultimate Power Adhesive which has been kindly supplied to us by our glue sponsor Bostik.

Take a look at the product info here: http://www.bostik.co.uk/diy/product/evo-stik/Serious-Stuff-Ultra/163

First, I machined a hub to ensure I could accommodate the wheel on the lathe, as I wanted to rotate it to spread an exact and equal even amount.

There's about 3.5mm of adhesive applied to each of the three wheels.

Once the excess is removed, the result is a very grippy surface which will give good traction.

It says in the product information that it will support up to 150 tonnes so if all goes to plan with James's diet, that should be prove to be just about satisfactory...
